Building Up Community and Relationships
Lobby and Café
Faith City Church is meant to be a large church and has a growing congregation, however, we always want to make the bigger church feel smaller. This happens through personal connections. Discipleship cannot take place in large groups. It takes place when two or three gather, perhaps over a cup of coffee, and share in the Lord together.
Connections before and after our services and events are a critical aspect of the ebb and flow of ministry at FCC. We want to grow these opportunities and that requires creating more space for hospitality and space to connect. What started as a few tables in the lobby so faithfully cared for by volunteers, grew to a coffee bar that has served us well over the last 10 years. Now it is time to update our approach to accommodate the growth God has blessed us with!
A new coffee counter/café space will be created just as you enter the main entrance of the church. This space will open to both the lobby and the sanctuary allowing connections to be made and hospitality provided in both spaces.
The café will also provide an opportunity and additional space for our growing number of students and volunteers who drop in through the week to grab a coffee and connect together.
It will also be outfitted with the necessary electrical and plumbing required for professional-grade equipment and allow future growth.
The café relocation will give the young children’s ministry the space they need to expand.
